The Butterfly Estates

Quick note about our butterfly house:

Help us protect Florida's beautiful butterflies! We are the only not for profit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving and populating our native species. WE DO NOT HAVE EXOTIC BUTTERFLIES!

We are a non profit 501(c)3.  We do not receive any funds from state or local government entities.    We rely strictly on admissions and private donations.  

We are an educational facility that hand raises every single butterfly. We provide educational tours, classes and  out reach programs. Our butterflies are not here for your pleasure. They are part of our vital breeding program. Please be respectful!

​We are an EDUCATIONAL Facility that teaches about the life cycle and importance of butterflies as pollinators.

You may have visited other facilities that are for entertainment.  They do not have a lot of nectar plants and may give you fruit to have the butterflies land on you.  We don’t do that here. 

We hand raise all of our butterflies from the egg to the chrysalis and release the number of butterflies that emerge inside our live chrysalis window.  This can be anywhere from 1 to 40 or more depending on the weather, season and how many have gone into chrysalis.​

Our daily and group rates are more than reasonable and military members (excluding spouses and children) are free. Read Rates
